Progress nears the station, ATV is no more

Bit of a big update, there’s been a lot going on these past few days…

Since the last post both of the things i was talking about have happened. ATV2 is no more…

joining ATV1 at the bottom of the ocean. And the Russian’s latest Progress supply ship took off…

It’s due to arrive at the station today at around twenty to 6 (BST). Bringing with it 2673KG worth of cargo.

On the other side of the Atlantic and the crew of STS135 have been practising for launch…

and announcing some particularly good news for those on the #NASATweetup…

It means there’s more chance of a quick turn around if weather delays things on the 8th.

Finally I posted one of a brilliant set of ATV photos at the top of this post, here’s the glorious second…
